Craig Seganti's newly-published approach to classroom discipline-- "Classroom Discipline 101" will be featured in the upcoming 10th edition of C. M. Charles's book Building Classroom Discipline, to be published in June 2010.

Since 1981, the Charles text has been the industry leader in identifying, analyzing, and explaining discipline approaches that work best for teachers and students. Seganti's approach will be included as one of six discipline approaches Charles identifies as "complete systems" because they give balanced attention to the prevention of misbehavior, the productive support of appropriate behavior, and helping students who transgress learn to conduct themselves effectively as members of the class.

Charles said Seganti's approach has high potential for fostering respectful interactions that stimulate productive effort and promote positive relations among members of the class.
